CAse study - Wed2B

Weavabel has worked with Web2B to switch to more sustainable and luxurious garment trims for their wedding dresses, from brands such as Viva Bride and Anna Sorrano.

Wed2B is the UK’s largest bridal retailer. They’re also the most affordable as they believe everyone should look and feel amazing on their wedding day, regardless of their budget. Throughout their 59 stores in the UK and Europe, they sell luxurious gowns from their different designer collections and stock a plethora of bridal accessories at competitive prices.  Weavabel and Web2B have been working together now since 2014.  It originated with the vision of updating labels and tickets to create a distinctive look that was also more sustainable. Since then, we’ve also started working on accessory packaging and more.

The Challenge

Wed2B had been sourcing their previous trims locally and struggled with quality and design inconsistencies. They wanted to make their trims look prestigious and high-class, with a unified appearance.  Wedding dresses are one of the most important clothing items someone will wear, so everything has to be perfect, including the trims. The brand also wanted their trims to become more eco-conscious, to reduce their environmental impact.

The Solution

Weavabel helped phase out the older branding with a move to recycled polyester for the labels and tapes and FSC-certified boards for the tickets through rounds of sampling different qualities and products.  We also looked at more eco-friendly materials where possible for the in-store garment bags and supported Wed2B through a few rebrands of their various collections.  All the options we developed gave a clear, concise branding message that improves the luxury of Wed2B’s customer experiences.

The Result

We now supply swing tickets, seals, woven labels, paper envelopes & dress bags to their manufacturing lines, which are supplied to their retail stores in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Belgium & Netherlands.  Weavabel uses materials such as recycled polyester for the woven labels, as it helps to reduce fashion’s environmental impact, whilst also offering a high-quality finish.  We continue to support Wed2B in their branding needs, having recently developed entire ranges of rebranded tickets and labels for their brands such as Anna Sorrano and Viva Bride.
