Custom heat transfer labels
What do you need?
What are heat transfer labels?
Heat transfer labels, sometimes called tagless or heat seal labels, are applied to fabric using heat and pressure rather than stitching.
The design bonds directly to the garment, which removes the sewn-in label entirely and creates a smooth, no-label look. Because nothing rubs against the skin, heat transfers suit sportswear, swimwear, underwear and children's wear, and they stretch and recover with the fabric.
They can also carry wash and fibre-content information printed straight onto the garment, so a heat transfer can replace a separate sewn-in care label where a tagless finish matters.
Weavabel supplies heat transfers in durable, stretch-friendly and sustainable options, tested for wash resistance and delivered across your supply chain.

Frequently asked questions
What are heat transfer labels?
Heat transfer labels are applied to fabric with heat and pressure instead of stitching, bonding the design directly to the garment for a smooth, tagless finish.
Are heat transfer labels better than sewn-in labels?
Each suits different garments. Heat transfers remove the sewn-in label for comfort and stretch, which suits sportswear, swimwear and childrenswear. Sewn-in woven labels give a premium, tactile finish for outerwear and formal wear. Many brands use both across a range.
How durable are heat transfer labels?
Our heat transfers are tested for wash resistance and designed to stretch and recover with the fabric. Durability varies by material and application, so we test against your specific garment before production.
What’s the minimum order quantity and lead time?
Lead times typically run from two to four weeks. Minimum order quantities depend on the transfer type and material, so speak to the team for a figure against your specification.
What certifications do you offer?
We have a range of certified materials, including FSC, GOTS, GRS, Carbon Neutral and more.
How are heat transfers supplied?
Our heat transfers are supplied on a clear backing for your factory to apply, with application guidance provided.
What inks do you use for printing?
We predominantly use vegetable and soy-based inks rather than chemical-based inks. This may vary, so always discuss with your point of contact.
Is the adhesive used for heat transfers sustainable?
We can offer water-based heat seal options that are more sustainable than other adhesives.
