RFID and NFC technologies enable products to be identified and tracked throughout the supply chain, while QR codes provide consumers with instant access to product information, care instructions, sustainability credentials, Digital Product Passport dataand traceability information. Managing labels across your supply chain

Running one label across multiple factories is where consistency slips. Our Account and Quality Control Managers approve every label against a strict set of guidelines, wherever it's produced. Each order then ships to your vendors from the nearest distribution centre, so the same trim arrives to the same standard whatever the location. We handle stock management and reordering, and every order traces back to source, which supports your compliance and sustainability reporting.

Alongside woven and printed labels, we also offer heat transfer labels for a tag-free finish and swing tags to extend your branding beyond the garment.

Are your recycled polyester label yarns made from post- or pre-consumer waste?

They’re available in both and depend on the manufacturing location.

What inks do you use for printing?

We predominantly use vegetable and soy-based inks rather than chemical-based inks. This may vary, so always discuss with your Premium Account Manager.

Are there any alternatives to recycled polyester or organic cotton?

Yes, we offer many more materials for labels, including cotton, bamboo, tencel, viscose, poly-wool, poly-cotton, satin and tyvek.

What are woven labels?

Woven labels are brand tabs and labels with the design woven from polyester or cotton thread, rather than printed. They give a premium, durable finish and are the standard choice for main brand labels and size tabs. Unlike care labels, which are primarily used to display washing instructions and garment information, woven labels are designed to showcase and reinforce your brand identity.

Choose woven for a premium, durable brand label, and printed where you need fine detail, photographic colour or a faster, lower-cost run. Many brands use both across a single garment. 

What are your minimum order quantities and lead times?
Lead times typically range from two to four weeks. Minimum order quantities vary depending on the label type and material. For products such as labels, swing tags and badges, our MOQ is typically 1,000 pieces. 
 
However, please speak to our team for an accurate figure based on your specifications.
Can you supply labels for ongoing production runs?

Yes. We hold your approved labels in our warehouses and ship to your vendors on repeat order, with stock management handled for you, which suits brands producing in continuous or seasonal runs.

Are care labels legally required?

For most apparel sold in the UK, EU and US, care, fibre-content and origin information is a legal requirement. Weavabel produces compliant care labels alongside your branded labels.
